at smith's.  i expected to enjoy myself, but i must saw that they put on a damn good show.  highlights for me were 'i don't know what i can save you from,' 'little kids,' and the two covers they did.  covers are really hit or miss for me, but they nailed them both.  the first, 'range life' by pavement, i didn't even recognize at first, and 'crooked rain crooked rain' is my favorite pavement album.  but that didn't even hold up to the second encore, tom petty's 'free fallin.'  oh my goodness, this was the shit. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.kingsofconvenience.org/roma052001/10.FreeFallin.MP3"&gt;listen&lt;/a&gt; back in june, but now that i know their stuff it was great to see them again. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;owen pallett, aka final fantasy, opened the show and i was very impressed, as were my comrades.  he arranged the strings on &lt;a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0002IVN9W/qid=1107008052/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-7787685-3549634?v=glance&amp;s=music&amp;amp;n=507846"&gt;'funeral,'&lt;/a&gt;
